Astreya, the Star of Dawn

Background: Astreya is a half elven bard, raised and trained in a city called Myrra, one of the 12 Tribes of the Kamaro desert. Her father is a battle hardened elven warrior, and her mother, a wise bard and storyteller. A few years after Astreya’s basic bardic training had finished, she had a vision, a dream in which she was setting out to a distant land, where she would meet brave companions and their actions would decide the future of the world. More importantly, Astreya’s vision had revealed her that in this journey, she would find her true self and her destiny.

Before deciding what to do, Astreya talked to her parents about the dream. Although her father was against her departure because he was extremely concerned about his daughter safety, her mother convinced him to allow Astreya to go, because deep inside she knew that the dream meant that Astreya was ready to meet her true destiny.

She spent almost an entire year traveling alone until she finally found her companions. After that, Astreya and her group engaged in many battles, and participated directly in the War of the Dragon King; they almost died fighting the Dragon King’s armies in the Shadow Lands. During this time, she met Coran Bhael, the warrior king of Sirhion, kingdom of the Silver Elves. After the war, Astreya and Coran got married, and the couple had 3 kids: one boy, called Brehmen and two girls named Liena and Leora.

Personality: Astreya is a calm and gentle person, and very committed to her friends and specially, her husband. She is intelligent and has an almost supernatural intuition, that sometimes allows her to notice things that most people can’t. Astreya believes deeply in concepts like love, friendship and loyalty, and she lives her life according to these conceptions. In a group, Astreya is the one who always tries to solve problems and discussions through conversation. Even being frail compared to warriors, Astreya always does her best to protect her companions from harm.

Abilities: Astreya is a very experienced and gifted bard, and knows much about Elgalor’s lore and the races that live in the world. Her knowledge covers even creatures like demons and angels who live in other planes. She is able to cast many healing spells, some offensive ones and is an expert in using mind-control spells. She speaks many languages, can play seven different musical instruments and is an excellent singer and dancer. Thanks to her father, and her husband, Astreya is a good archer, and a capable melee combatant when using her sword, a magical scimitar called Desert Song.
